Brian,
Everything arrived today in
great condition. Thank you. Seat is a smidge wide in the hips
(compared to too tight with other seats I've owned) and much
better---actually perfect in the thighs and shoulders where I
am a little more built. Not a problem. Actually I think your
seat fits my athletic build better than any other seat I've
sat in. Let me know if I can provide any testimonial or other.
Use me as a reference if you like: 6'1", 215 lbs. Athletic
build/small waist/broad shoulders

Brian - seat arrive on Friday! Looks real nice. I
haven't fit it yet, but my measurements tell me it will slide in
the 510 just fine.
Thanks for all your help. I've attached a
photo or two that you have permission to use on your website.
Let's stay in touch.

I’m looking for some pictures of the Black ‘04 Cobra that has
your seats in it (same car that took 1st at the
Virginia City Hill Climb put on by The Ferrari Club of America)
but I can’t find anything good that shows the seats and the car
at this point. The car was wrecked about a month ago here at
Infineon.
FYI: Seats held up and worked extremely well considering the
impact they took and I’m sure they helped to prevent any
neck/head injury. Driver was wearing a Hans device but the pass.
was not Hans equipped, both walked away uninjured.
I see Racetech seats wherever I
go nowadays!
After my first rally (
www.SandblastRally.com ) with my new Rally Spec Focus car
equipped with Racetech seats, I must say that I'm quite
impressed with the quality, fit & finish of yours seats are.
Most seats I'd used before looked safe and had
compromised comfort. Usually, whatever I do, no matter how I pad
my seats, positions myself etc., my back got a lot of beating
in the rally cars, so much so that I usually end up at
my chiropractor's office after every rally day; or at least
that's what happened in the last 15 years! Thanks to the latest
Racetech 4000Ws I got from you, my first rally with them felt so
comfortable that the chiropractic office visits are history! My
co-driver and I actually talked about their surprising comfort
with other Rally Spec Focus competitors who just installed and
tested their own Racetech's @ Sandblast Rally; they all agreed
with me:)

I've got a Racetech 4009 HR, which is a super-nice seat. Build
quality is top-notch. I've had Corbeau's and I've got a brand
new Cobra in the basement (wanna buy it? ). I like the
materials in the RT best and it's very comfy. It's really up to
you whether the money is worth it. Of course, "trying on" the
seats is a good idea. Look around at your next track day and ask
to sit in seats; almost everyone will be ok with it.

First off, thanks for
including, on your website, the picture and story about Andrews
huge win at the 2006 SCCA National Championship Runoffs with our
new Racetech seat! Both Andrew and I (his Dad) are very pleased
with the seat and will not race without one in any car we own
again!

Brian,
The new seats are great in the cars. I cannot tell you how
comfortable your seat is on our Vipers. Went testing yesterday
and I spent about 3+ hours in the car and I felt like I was
sitting in my reclining chair in my family room! Seriously, they
are working out great.

Brian, By the way,
couldn’t be happier with the seats! I’ve put a couple thousand
street miles on them so far this summer and a few track days here
and there too with no complaints from me or the occasional
passenger! In fact I’ve had plenty of compliments! Another happy
customer.
If you have any
potential customers willing to travel to the Ann Arbor, MI area
they are welcome to view/sit in my car. Cheers, Chet Dawes

My day job requires me to depend on high quality safety equipment. Whether it's racing down the quarter mile in 7.40 seconds @ 195MPH or setting land speed records across the Bonneville Salt Flats at over 243MPH, I will only sit in a Racetech 4009HRV seat.
Our newly developed NHRA PRO/FWD Spec. KillerBee drag race chassis will have Racetech RT series seats as standard equipment. When surviving an accident is not optional, choose Racetech quaility seats.

Having raced for the last four seasons in the Super Mini Challenge series in a Racetech 4000 seat, I knew the only step forward I was ever going to make in seating was to a newer Racetech seat. Having just done my first race meeting at Manfeild this weekend (11/ 12 December 04) in my newly installed Racetech 4009HR seat, I can certainly recommend this seat most highly.
Irrespective of the "HR" Head Restraint features of this particular seat, the 4009 series seat is bounds ahead for comfort and support over the 4000 series seat. This is not to say the 4000 was lacking, far from it, just that the 4009 series is even better! With the addition of the head restraint feature on the 4009HR, I know now that I am in very safe hands while I am racing.
The head restraint did show me for the first couple of laps in practice just how much I used to lean my head into the corners. Within a few laps I quickly got used to not tipping my helmet quite as much, and after just my first race in the seat I will not race in any other seat again without the head restraint. I can understand how in the WRC television coverage Sebastian Loeb lets his helmet rest on the seat head restraint, and looks left or right with his eyes, rather than having to tip his head.
For a customer who is looking into a 4000 series seat, I would certainly recommend going the extra distance to the 4009 series seat as a worthwhile investment, whether it be the standard 4009 in place of the 4000 seat, or going the extra distance to the 4009HR for added safety.
I am a most satisfied customer indeed.
Kind Regards,
David Sweeney
